What Is Involved?

This club has been a huge success, with over 30 girls staying after school on Wednesdays. The girls are coached by Craigavon Aztecs, Northern Ireland Volleyball U20 Head Coach and past pupil Callum Grieve. The club stresses FUN, FAIRPLAY and PARTICIPATION by increasing the number of ball contacts per player, creating longer and more successful rallies and by developing proper skill delivery. As a fully inclusive club, pupils having learnt the basics of volleyball; forearm and overhead passing, hitting, serving, basic team movement and sportsmanship.

We hope the club will continue to grow on last year’s success and follow in the footsteps of a number of past pupils who have progressed from Lurgan JHS to play for Northern Ireland.
