Dear Parents,

You may be aware that over the last few days, some pupils who attend the Portadown Campus of Craigavon Senior High School, tested positive for COVID-19. This evening, I spoke with Ms Harkness, Principal of CSHS, and she is happy for me to advise you that, as of this evening, there have been no reported cases in the Lurgan Campus. In addition, Ms Harkness has advised that, where CSHS pupils who have tested positive have siblings in other Dickson plan schools, these households have been told to self-isolate by the PHA.

As we move forward, I would reiterate the need for all of us to follow the advice given by the PHA. In particular, if anyone in your home is exhibiting symptoms, do not send them or other members of your family to school. The symptoms are:

1) A high temperature;

2) A new, continuous cough;

3) A loss of, or change to, sense of taste and/or smell.

Similarly, if someone is awaiting a test result in your household, the whole family should isolate until the result of the test is known.

Please keep school informed of any absence. This can be done by contacting us on 02838323243 during school hours or by texting 07516239880 out of office hours with the name of child and class.

Many thanks for your continued support and cooperation.

J. McCoy.

Principal.
